Increased ground surface at the toe from 1.12” for size 5 to 1.54” for size 12 as well as increased heel support.  This gives better wear and heel coverage as well as improved “float”. 

Nail holes that move in and out as shoe sizes change combined with angled holes for appropriate nailing whether for a fine walled thoroughbred or thicker walled warmblood
